Barcelona Vs. Chelsea

Barcelona
Vs.
Chelsea
2-2
Agg. 2-3

This match was for the ages. Chelsea played with 10 men since the 37th min, nobody would have guessed that Chelsea would have came back and score a goal in the injury time. Fernando Torres scored a fantastic goal in a one-v-one challenge against Victor Valdes. Though Barcelona would not stop attacking, as like the last match they could not find the back of the net and also hit the post on two separate occasions. Messi had the opportunity to score with a penalty kick; goalkeeper Petr Cech jumped on the correct direction of Messi's kick, but Messi kicked the ball far too high and hit the upper post. Having missed this chance to score many wonder if Messi felt the pressure of never having scoring on Chelsea before and this moment was far to much pressure than he was able to handle. The match ended in a 2-2 victory for Chelsea based on 2-3 aggregate. Chelsea secured the spot in the final in Munich on May 19, 2010!

Semi-Final First Leg

Bayern Munich
Vs.
Real Madrid
2-1

After watching this game it was hard to believe that Real Madrid lost. Real Madrid has not lost in their last 11 games until they played Bayern Munich. #10 Ozil scored the only goal for Real Madrid, thanks to teammate Cristiano Ronaldo back heel. The game was evenly played against these two soccer giants. Many people had whistled at Munich player Ribery for diving through out the game. In the second half it had looked like Bayern Munich were focused on breaking the equalizer, as the clock ran down Bayern Munich's attacking three began to hammer the defending line of Real Madrid. As injury time came around the pace only picked up. Forward Mario Gomez stood onside awaiting the cross from his winger and before Goalkeeper Casillas could even react, the ball was already in the back of the neck.

The next time these two teams will meet will be next week on Wednesday at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Chelsea Vs. Barcelona
1-0

This game was also another upset this week. Chelsea defeated Barcelona at the Stamford Bridge. Barcelona dominated in possession as they always do when they play, they continually attacked Chelsea's defenders trying to get a point on the broad. Watching how Barcelona passes the ball to one another is brilliant, Forwards Messi and Alexis hit the post on numberses occasions. A long ball the opposite end of the pitch caught Chelsea's attacking players as they ran down the pitch, they had been able to spit the Barca defense up and as Forward Drogba made a run on the right side. The cross came in without hesitation, he was able to put the ball behind the net and score the only goal of the match. Barcelona did not give up after the goal, they continued to attack Chelsea's defense and before they were able to create a goal scoring play the match was over.

This two teams will meet next week on Tuesday at the Camp Nou, many say when Chelsea travel to Spain to play Bacra at home. The fixture will come out in Barcelonas' favor.
